01. Scope and our current stage
Parody Planet, Inc. ("Parody Planet," "we," "us," or "our") operates parodyplanet.tv (the "Site"). We are developing an entertainment platform, with music planned as our initial focus. This Policy covers the Site, waitlist, and related prelaunch communications. It does not yet govern a launched streaming, creator-upload, payment, or collaboration service. We will update our disclosures before introducing those features.
02. Information we collect
When you join our prelaunch waitlist, we collect your email address, your selection of Creator or Audience, and your required email-marketing consent choice. Brevo may record subscription status and confirmation events so that we can manage the list and document consent. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.
Our website host and form-security services may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, and security or request logs. Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the signup form to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated submissions. Do not provide sensitive personal information through the waitlist.
03. How we use information
We use signup information to administer the prelaunch waitlist, distinguish Creator and Audience interests, send the updates you requested about development, possible early access and launch, measure aggregate interest, respond to inquiries, and prevent spam and abuse. We may use technical information to maintain security and troubleshoot the Site. Joining the waitlist is free and does not guarantee access to any future product.
04. Email communications and choices
We use Brevo to host and process the signup form, maintain our email subscriber list, store your selected Creator or Audience category and consent status, and deliver confirmation and subsequent prelaunch emails. Information submitted through the form is transmitted to Brevo for those purposes. Brevo's own privacy policy describes its processing practices.
The signup form asks you to affirmatively check a required consent box. Our form is intended to use email confirmation before a subscription is finalized; the exact double opt-in setting must also be enabled and tested in Brevo. Once subscribed, you can unsubscribe through the link in our marketing emails or request removal at privacy@parodyplanet.tv. We may retain limited suppression or consent records as reasonably necessary to respect opt-outs and comply with law.
07. Data retention
We retain waitlist contact details and related subscription or consent records while needed to manage the prelaunch list and communications, and thereafter only as reasonably necessary to honor unsubscribe requests, document consent, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements. You can request deletion at privacy@parodyplanet.tv, subject to applicable exceptions. An exact retention period has not yet been confirmed and must be set based on our actual Brevo settings and legal obligations.
08. Security and international processing
We use or will select reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No transmission or storage method is guaranteed completely secure. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.
09. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to our business, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; obtain information about its processing; and opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or other uses. We will honor applicable rights and may verify your request before responding. You can request access, correction, deletion, or an applicable opt-out by emailing the verified privacy contact listed below. If we become subject to additional state privacy-law requirements, we will provide any required appeal process and other submission methods. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.
10. California and Nevada disclosures
For California residents, the categories described above are identifiers (such as email and IP address), internet or network activity, and information you voluntarily provide about your interest in Parody Planet. We use and disclose these categories for the purposes and to the provider categories stated in this Policy. We do not currently plan to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; that statement must be checked against deployed tools. Where the CCPA applies, eligible residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-data uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. We will recognize legally required opt-out preference signals if applicable. Nevada residents may submit a verified request to opt out of covered sales where Nevada law applies, using the designated contact method below. The statutory meaning of a sale may differ by jurisdiction.
11. Children
The prelaunch Site and waitlist are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted information, we will take steps to delete it. We may implement additional age-related safeguards before launching entertainment services.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Policy as the Site, service providers, and legal requirements evolve. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Material changes affecting waitlist data will be communicated as required.
